I was proud to visit ProMaterial Ltd at the Bay Technology Centre in Baglan Energy Park; a really exciting cleantech company making waves here in Port Talbot. Their mission to combine AI-driven automation with sustainable materials for high-precision industrial use shows exactly how innovation and green manufacturing can go hand in hand.
What’s even more inspiring is that ProMaterial is growing thanks to funding from the Tata Steel / Port Talbot Transition Board Growth Fund. This is exactly the kind of investment our community needs: supporting local businesses as they build new, clean-tech jobs and contribute to a low-carbon future.
ProMaterial’s work on advanced metal components and their AI diagnostic system is not just ground-breaking, it’s a real example of how Port Talbot can lead in smart, sustainable manufacturing.
