Commenting on the announcement by Tata Steel of a preferred bidder for its Long Products business, Aberavon MP Stephen Kinnock said,
‘The emergence of a preferred bidder for Tata Steel Long Products is certainly welcome news, and is proof positive of the fact that the steel industry is more than capable of bouncing back.
It will be essential to ensure that Tata Steel continues to strengthen and support its Strip Products division, in which Port Talbot plays a critically important role.’
