Fantastic to speak at the Net Zero Industry Wales event at Margam Orangery and see so many businesses, investors, educators and public sector partners coming together with a shared vision for the future of Port Talbot and Wales.
We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build on our proud industrial heritage and make our area a powerhouse of clean energy, advanced manufacturing and innovation.
From floating offshore wind and green steel to new supply chains, skills programmes and investment opportunities, the potential is enormous. But we must ensure this transition is a just one that delivers good jobs, prosperity and opportunity for local people.
By working together, we can make the 2030s a decade of opportunity for Wales and prove that Port Talbot remains at the heart of Britain’s industrial future.
Thank you to Net Zero Industry Wales and Associated British Ports for bringing everyone together for such a positive and inspiring event.
