Following on from my question to the Acting Prime Minister in Prime Minister’s Questions about government support for the British steel industry, I’ve written to the Chancellor urging him to back British Steel. It is the backbone of our entire manufacturing sector, it underpins everything from automotive to life-saving NHS equipment. There can be no post-pandemic economic recovery without a strong and health steel industry.
