Really good meeting with the multi-union at our Port Talbot steel works. The Labour Party has repeatedly stated that Tata Steel must not take any decisions that can’t be reversed following the General Election, and that we cannot support a deal that uses £500 million of taxpayers’ money to make thousands of steelworkers redundant.
