It was really good to be able to mark VE Day by attending Maesteg Town Council’s VE Day 80th anniversary concert at Maesteg Town Hall today.
Children from the local primary school sang a really touching rendition of Vera Lynn’s ‘We’ll Meet Again’.
As we commemorate these historic milestones, we reflect on the immense cost of war and reaffirm our commitment to peace, unity, and the enduring importance of remembering those who gave so much for the freedoms we enjoy today.
