A fantastic visit to the Maesteg 200 exhibition at Maesteg Town Hall.
It was truly special to see the wonderful artefacts and memorabilia on display; so many pieces generously shared by people from across Maesteg, each with its own story to tell. What makes this exhibition stand out is the opportunity for visitors to contribute their own memories, helping to bring the rich history of our community to life.
I even got involved in the retro-style photo booth… and yes, I can confirm I was persuaded into wearing the bunny ears 🐰📸—all in the Easter spirit!
A massive thank you to the incredible volunteers who have worked so hard to put this together. Your dedication and passion have created something truly memorable for the whole community.
With nearly 1,500 people having visited already, it’s clear just how much this means to Maesteg, and there’s still plenty more to enjoy as part of the wider Maesteg 200 celebrations, with a great range of events taking place.
If you haven’t been yet, the exhibition is open on Friday and Saturday and can be found upstairs in the hall in Maesteg Town Centre – well worth a visit!
