I was delighted to recently welcome Renaissance and Progressive Britain to Aberafan Maesteg for their latest roundtable with small-and-medium businesses, with further valuable contributions from FSB Wales and HMV Catapult.

We heard some great contributions on what government at all levels can do to support local businesses. These views will feed into a report the think tanks will present to policymakers.

I was pleased to be able to set out why small businesses are key to driving growth and good local jobs – and why we need a modern manufacturing renaissance in Wales to seize opportunities of the future in industries such as Floating Offshore Wind.
