I was proud to officially open the Maesteg Post Office at its new permanent home on Commercial Street.

Premier Store, 138–139 Commercial Street, Maesteg, CF34 9DW.

The Post Office is now open 7 days a week, offering 104 hours of service, more than double what was previously available. No lunchtime closures, earlier opening, later closing, and even Sunday service. It’s now much easier for residents and businesses to access the services they need, when they need them.

The Post Office is more than just a place to send letters or collect parcels, it’s a vital part of our community. It’s where people come to manage their finances, access essential services, and connect with one another.

A huge congratulations to ViJi Singarajah, the new postmaster, who has transformed an empty building into a vibrant, welcoming store and community hub.
