What a wonderful visit to the Maesteg Henshed – Women of Worth weekly session at the Maesteg Salvation Army today. It was great to join the group for a cuppa and a chat, and even get involved in some armchair exercises!

The Salvation Army has been a pillar of the Maesteg community for well over 100 years, and it was fascinating to hear about the issues they are campaigning on and the local challenges they are helping to address.

I was particularly impressed to see their newly opened community garden, where they are growing vegetables, and to hear about the outstanding work that has earned them a silver eco award.

It’s great to see this community group thriving in the heart of Maesteg.
