On the 80th anniversary of D-Day I was very pleased to attend the Dedication & Service at Aberafan Shopping Centre and the anniversary event in Briton Ferry to mark the occasion.  D-Day was a significant turning point in the war, where Allied soldiers crossed the Channel into Normandy, it is right and proper that we meet to remember those who sacrificed so much for the freedom that we enjoy today.
